Privacy Policy

When you use the Contact page, the fields you submit are transmitted to RescueDesk and stored in our PostgreSQL database. Required fields include your name, organization, email address, organization type, area of interest, message, and consent to storage and follow-up. Optional fields include your phone number, preferred contact method, and a separate choice to receive occasional marketing updates.

For Public Sector inquiries, you may also provide optional agency or department, solicitation or contract reference, response deadline, opportunity type, procurement contact, document URL, and other procurement information. You may instead contact us directly by email, in which case we receive the information included in that correspondence.

Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, protected health information, or other highly sensitive information in an inquiry.

Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and diagnostic or security events.

This public site does not provide user accounts or online purchases.

If you choose “Allow analytics,” RescueDesk stores a random anonymous session identifier and first-party information such as the original landing page, referral source, campaign parameters present in the URL, pages or brands engaged with, and the page from which an inquiry is submitted. This anonymous browser state expires after 90 days. We do not use it for browser fingerprinting or cross-domain tracking.

We may use information we receive to:

• respond to questions and service inquiries;
• identify the RescueDesk service that may fit an organization;
• follow up about the inquiry using the contact details provided;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website; and
• understand how opted-in visitors discover RescueDesk and which meaningful interactions lead to inquiries; and
• meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We may share information with a limited number of service providers that support website hosting, database infrastructure, security, communications, and business operations. They may process information only to provide those services to us. We do not sell personal information. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of our services.

We retain contact inquiries, email correspondence, and related business records for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary with those needs.

You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information you previously sent to us. We will consider and respond to requests consistent with applicable law, identity-verification needs, and legitimate record-keeping obligations; some information may need to be retained. You may also opt out of non-essential marketing messages by following the instructions in the message or contacting us. Choosing not to receive marketing updates does not affect our ability to respond to your inquiry.

Analytics and attribution are optional. You may decline them when the preference prompt appears or revisit “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Declining removes the anonymous attribution state from this browser and does not block navigation, essential site functions, or Contact-page submission.

No method of transmission is completely secure. Please share only the information needed for us to respond, and do not submit highly sensitive information through the Contact page or by email.

This website is intended for organizations and business contacts, not for children to submit personal information. Links to other websites are governed by those sites' own privacy practices.

We may update this policy as our website and practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
